Who We Are

Portico Realty is a second-generation, family-founded real estate brokerage built on experience, integrity, and a deep passion for serving people. Our story started in 1983 when our mother, Barb Lea, began her real estate career. She joined RE/MAX DFW Associates in 1985, where she helped shape a legacy of professionalism and service in the North Texas real estate community.

 

In 2001, Joe Thackery joined his mother as a licensed agent and business partner, followed by Kelly Cannon in 2003. Together, we launched Portico Realty in 2011 with a simple goal: to provide clients with high-level real estate guidance backed by honesty, construction knowledge, and decades of local experience.

 

We’re proud to continue the work our mother started—and to carry it forward with the same heart, hustle, and commitment she modeled every day.
